What is a Cumdach?

What is a cumdach?
It is a bookshrine.  An elaborate ornamented box or case used to enshrine books.

Why call this site Cumdach?
Book.  Shrine.   Book.  Reviews.   Books.  It kind of goes altogether, don't you think?

Cumdach are for religious texts and such, does that make you religious?
And do you only review religious texts?
Honestly, on the worse days I'm agnostic, and those days are normally when I'm stuck driving in/to/around Toronto.  And the rest of the time, I'm a vague atheist working my way through Taoism.  I leave reviewing of religious tests to the professionals.
